Cut Peaches

Fred & Garry Prewett

OUR STORY

My dad started Prewett's Fruit Stand Inc. in 1974. I remember working for my dad in the summers when school was out. He always worked serving Georgia peaches, pecans, Vidalia onions, and watermelons, etc.

In August 2004, Dad retired and handed me the ropes. I didn't have to fix anything. He had spent so many years to understand the business better, so I continued what he had started.

I went incorporated in 2014 and am proud to continue my father's legacy. It would not have happened if Jim Hobgood didn't sell me the land, so I am grateful. As for Mr. Simpson, it took his willingness to sell me the land as well. Stanley went well above what he had to do to see I could purchase this land. He also donated a large sign to cover the Huddle House tower. The world needs more people like him! I hope to continue and improve my business and hopefully hand down to my children Derrick, Tevin, and Ian Prewett.
